Wednesday Addams Returns with New Twists
Jenna Ortega's portrayal of Wednesday Addams is back, this time featuring even darker storylines at Nevermore Academy. Nearly three years after the debut of the first season, Netflix premiered Part 1 of Wednesday Season 2 on August 6, reintroducing fans to the chaotic characters and unresolved mysteries. The excitement surrounding Wednesday's return was heightened by the announcement of pop icon Lady Gaga joining the cast.
According to Netflix, Gaga will portray Rosaline Rotwood, a 'legendary teacher at Nevermore who encounters Wednesday.' However, Ortega has a different take on this casting news.
During an interview, Ortega was questioned about Gaga's role as a teacher in the series. She humorously responded, 'She’s not a teacher. That’s your little clue. Whatever you’ve heard, it’s wrong.'
Ortega also shared her thoughts on collaborating with Lady Gaga, describing her as 'one of the kindest, most grounded individuals I've ever worked with, such a powerhouse.' Catherine Zeta-Jones, who plays Morticia Addams, was also part of the discussion, adding, 'She was an addition that was made in heaven. We’d say hell, which is a good thing.'
